The Mystery, the Plan

Greetings in Unity!

Good Morning.  This is a tough day for many and however difficult, it is also a day to hold hope for a country we love.

As I reflect on what I might say today, I am sharply reminded of the day when the first bombs began falling in the Middle East; when our fear and loathing of the Ayatollah and our grief over a new war held us in a powerful grip.

My daughter was working for a peace organization in Seattle and called me, distraught, to report the news.  I could hear sobbing in the background.  As I hung up the phone I began to scream.  After half an hour of this I sat down to meditate for the planet and my guides said, "No, Earth does not want your energy.  Take some time first to find your balance."  So, breathing, I did.

And when I felt my balance return I was flooded with a deep awareness that my task was to pray for everyone equally; for our troops, their troops, for the civilian population here and in the Middle East, for our president, and for the Ayatollah.

I grew very calm and certain that our energy could best be used first trusting in a greater Plan.  I heard, "This situation has ramifications beyond human understanding," and I could see that Plan as an inclusive condition through which we would follow a necessary avenue of human evolution.

I am not yet clear enough to view that larger pattern in our current situation, but I trust that the Wisdom will come.  Perhaps it is a time to grasp that so many of us have become observers of life rather than activators of what we choose to create.  We all have an opportunity and an obligation to our country to seek the balance within.  While I know how hard this might be, there is no greater gift, for self and others.

Let's not pretend to like an outcome that still hurts us.  But with breath we can achieve internal balance.  And with that balance we will have Wisdom.  Our country needs each one of us to take ourselves back from the divisiveness and to find that balance.  Let's not give power away in our reaction, our anger.  Take it back. If we are not excited about this outcome, at least let's not abandon ourselves in anger or denial.

A greater Plan is in place.  As I said to a friend last night, I cannot live in the certainty of my own perfect Plan while denying its existence anywhere else.  And I know that my Plan is perfectly unfolding in the midst of the Plan surrounding me - much of it still a mystery - but having its own divine design.

I visualize the peace that comes through this Wisdom, for each of us and for our country.  Yes, it is most easily achieved through the sacred breath.
